Clinical cohorts and biospecimens
Well-characterised cohorts and associated blood and CSF samples support studies of immune processes, molecular changes and illness trajectories. Material available for a particular question depends on availability, consent and the approved research project.
Magdeburg brain collection
Post-mortem brain tissue enables investigation of the cellular and structural basis of psychiatric disorders. Studies are conducted with clinical and neuropathological partners. Clinical history, tissue quality and potential confounders inform the analyses.
Methods and collaboration
We connect immunohistochemistry and digital image analysis with immunological, biochemical and molecular approaches. Imaging and statistical models complement investigations across biological levels. Methods are applied within the group and with collaborators according to the research question.
